On July 2, 2013, Lemuel survived one of the biggest VBIED attacks against American forces in Kabul, Afghanistan. A servant leader willing to take extraordinary risks to go beyond to help others, recognized with one of the highest award presented, the Chairman Award (Medal of Valor), for high performance in the line of duty.
